Transair Colombia is a subsidiary of Inter Colombia and aims to further develop connectivity within the region, using the versatile Embraer ERJ-aircraft.
The company aims to serve important cities as well as connecting smaller towns to their ADZ-hub. The Embraer 135/140/145s will act as an important tool to archieve this goal.
Transair Colombia ordered ten factory-new ERJ-145XR´s. This variant is able to serve very long but thin routes and thus will enable Transair Colombia to open new markets currently not served or simply to small to justify larger aircraft.
Early results and advanced bookings show that Transair Colombia could become a very capable airline, feeding their hubs at BAQ and ADZ. The ERJ-135/140/145s are well-suited to fulfill the requirements of frenquecies, operational performance, and comfort.
In order to further develop regional connectivity, Transair Colombia added the 19-seat BAe Jetstream 31 to their operational fleet. This type of aircraft provides the convenience and comfort of larger aircraft including full stand-up aisle height, a small galley and a lavatory.
In October 2024, Transair Colombia operates the following active fleet:
02 x BAe Jetstream 31
35 x ERJ-135
16 x ERJ-140
29 x ERJ-145
